Sitters undergo Procare© before they are listed on the Carecity platform. Procare is Carecity’s domestic worker development program.
We view a domestic worker as a whole person. That is why Procare combines holistic, human-centred and research-based approaches to develop a community of like-minded and skilled domestic caregivers. Sitters that participate in Procare undergo rigorous vetting, domestic skills training, engagement in transformative projects plus much more. To maintain high standards, Procare accepts a limited number of domestic workers per month.

However, many domestic workers lack the capacity to invest in their long-term growth due to challenges such as low literacy, inadequate mental health support and limited economic opportunities.
